Heyday Earbud's pair but don't connect

I have been attempting to get these to work, using pipewire, bluez with blueman and modified the /etc/bluetooth/main.conf controllermode value to every possible value restarting the bluetooth service after each change. I have also attempted a restart after each change.

I find it strange that I can pair the device but it will not connect.
